Challenges to binary prompts new thinking on gender, and the exchanges of Spiritual Identity

2021 November 7th Streaming

The 21st Century is pretty much dominated by predominantly biological explanations of gender differences, which emphasize the social and cultural origins, for example, divisions of labor.
Back in 2019, my family and I visited the US for the first time and I remember sitting in a huge lounge with my dear brother David Kenebrew. There, we discussed some general issues of life and whether guilt was innate or learnt across different cultures.

To answer this question, Brother David simply said just consider a man in a tribe somewhere, where the man has never heard about the bible or about of Jesus Christ. A man who understands polygamy, and yet when he longs for another man’s wife, he waits for the man to go away, before he approaches the wife. Why is it that he first waits for him to go out and does not come to his wife whilst he is around? What is it that makes him wait? Is it shame, conscience, culpability or what? Where does this feeling come from?

King David, in Second Samuel, was tempted upon seeing Bathsheba bathe in her courtyard, from the roof of his palace. He had her brought to his chambers and had sex with her, resulting in a pregnancy. Do you think that because he was the King guilt did not apply to him?

Romans 13:14, ESV: “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

Well let’s take a closer look at the exchanged Spiritual Identity of the Son:

Are you a Big “S” or a little “s” ?

This week in Sunday Fellowship we are going to look at who are in Christ because of Spiritual birth. Our true Spiritual Identity! But to that we must start at the beginning. Just how important is identity in the Purpose, Intent and Plan (PIP) of God? I would say it is the cornerstone and the very foundation of God’s PIP! I know to some that might sound somewhat far out or even off. But wait, let me ask you this question. What is the first definitive thing God reveals or explains about Himself? What insight does He give us of where it all starts in His PIP? Many of you might start with the book of Genesis and the creation of heaven and earth. Or, maybe the creation of males and females in verses 26-27 of chapter one. But that’s not the beginning. And definitely not where He started to reveal and explain what He wants us to know concerning Himself! Let’s talk about it…

Overcoming Guilt, Shame, and Rejection-Conclusion

2021 October 24th Streaming

For the last three weeks we have talked about overcoming guilt, shame and rejection. We will conclude this message today and look at the final chapter.  Up until now we have only discussed the cross and its power of deliverance over these powerful three captors. This week we will a closer and in depth look at this subject.  There is a difference between overcoming and deliverance.  While one is temporary the other is permanent.  We must come to know and understanding the difference between these two for victory and freedom to be ongoing! So, let’s talk about it…

Overcoming Guilt, Shame, and Rejection-Part 3

2021 October 17th Streaming

For the last two weeks we have talked about deliverance over guilt and shame at the cross. This week we look at rejection. Rejection is much more powerful and devastating than the other two because it can start in the womb. A child can be rejected even before it’s born into the world! The other two guilt and shame come from knowledge when someone is older. But even with rejection God has provided a way of escape! What does it take to overcome these three powerful captors to these emotional needs? First, rejection is rooted and grounded in the past. It too has the power to keep the human host attached to and remain one with the personal identity of the flesh. And, just as the other two this captors’ source of power, keeps it all working together for everyone’s ongoing captivity is again the spirit of FEAR! So, what is the answer to these powerful captors? Is it the cross of Christ? The power of the cross is visible to all who need its help. The cross of Christ can be the beginning of freedom and power to overcoming rejection. But yet it (the Cross) lacks one important thing! Let’s find out.

Overcoming Guilt, Shame, and Rejection-Part 2

2021 October 10th Streaming

As we stated last week the subject of guilt, shame, and rejection affects a vast majority of humanity today! whether you are a believer, non-believer, church goer or not. Some may even declare they’re born-again, saved, have Jesus living in your heart, or Christ lives in me as my life. Yet, none of this matter because guilt, shame and rejection are not a respecter of your personal declarations! What does it take to overcome these three powerful captors to these emotional needs? All three have a few things in common. First, each are rooted and grounded in the past. They all have the power to keep their human host attached to and remain one with their host’s personal identity of the flesh. And, all three of these captors source of power, which keeps it all working together for everyone’s ongoing captivity is the spirit of FEAR! So, what is the answer to these powerful captors? Is it the cross of Christ? The power of the cross is visible to all who need its help. The cross of Christ can be the beginning of freedom and power to overcoming guilt, shame, and rejection. But yet it (the Cross) lacks one important thing! This week we’ll look at the cruel and ugly power of shame.

The Perfect Son of the Father!

2021 September 26th Streaming

Greetings Everyone,
I’ve asked the following question over the years and have gotten the same answers multiple times.
“Who is the perfect Son of God? And what made Him perfect?”
Answers:
“Jesus is the perfect Son of God. He led a sinless life on earth. He always obeyed the Father.”
“God only had one perfect Son and that was Jesus Christ. He never sinned and was God’s perfect lamb to die on the cross.”
“Jesus was God’s only begotten Son. He was born of a virgin and He had no stain of sin in Him. He was God’s perfect lamb to die on the cross.”
“The perfect Son of God was His only begotten Son, His first-born Jesus Christ. No one will ever be as perfect as Him.”
“I think Jesus was God’s perfect Son. He was born of a virgin who herself was without sin. So her child Jesus was without sin as well. God sent Him to die on the cross for the sins of the world. He could not have done that if He was not perfect in everything He did.”
There are many, many more answers to this question. I can imagine that some of you might have similar answers to the question. When men talk about perfection, whether it’s secular or religious, they all see it in the flesh. Their flesh or Jesus’ flesh. It makes no difference! It all surrounds behavior, actions, and living without mistakes! In religion the vast majority hold fast to the idea and belief that what made Jesus perfect was He was born without sin. After all, we have the Bible to backup those beliefs. Let’s talk about it…

Present your Body as TheSpiritual Son of God With David Kenebrew, Th.D.

2021 September 12th Streaming

This week we will cover a passage I have semi-avoided for years, Romans 12:1. I never seemed to completely understand this verse. But Romans12:2 I could really get into, with it’s Spiritual idea of exchange – the idea of exchanging our identity Spiritually to the new creation identity we have become in Christ as the Son! Romans 12:2 presented the idea of being transformed, and not conformed to this world, by the renewing of our minds. What a verse! But verse one was not as exciting and simple to me as verse two. Then about five years ago brother Kurtis and I were talking about Romans 12:2, he shared his insight into verse 1. At that time I had never heard anyone explain verse 1 in the light of our in Christ position. He explained the High Priest would drain the blood from the sacrifice and that act removed the life from the sacrifice. Lev 17:11 says “the life of the flesh is in the blood”. Once the life (blood) is gone, the sacrifice is dead and not living. So brother Kurtis said, just as Jesus is a living sacrifice because he was raised from the dead, so are we to present our bodies as a living sacrifice because we have received Him. Now, this discussion took place long before the Father began to reveal to our fellowship in the mystery of Spiritual Sonship and our new Spiritual identity as the Spiritual Son of Father! Last week in our “walk on the pier” discussion after fellowship, we talked about this verse and this understanding again. But the Father began to reveal this verse to me in the light of the mystery of Spiritual Sonship! Our Spiritual identity is truly a mystery and an ongoing revelation of Spiritual birth and Sonship! So, let’s talk about it….

Give Us Barabbas! Away with The Son of God!

2021 August 29th Streaming

The Father and I have been talking about this message for several weeks. As He continued to make known His mystery of Spiritual Sonship and process involving the revelation of this mystery. He brought to my remembrance what He revealed in 2012 concerning the issue of Sonship. Why Barabbas and not the Son of God? Could desensitization to the Spiritual identity be the issue? The enemy (Satan) is moving through religion and politics today with a fervor! The minds of so many have been caught up in their fleeting identities and fears! In their illusions, deceptions, captive and delusional thinking, they are looking for someone to secure the freedom they’ve told is being stolen. And so they cry out “Give us Barabbas!” Sadly, they are deaf and blinded to the true freedom of “Spiritual Sonship” and the truth of knowing “he whom the Son sets Free (Spiritually) is Free indeed! Since No man can give this freedom, then No man can take it away! Barabbas is bound with them of a failed insurrection of flesh identity! But the Son who is the Seed of God is the ONLY source of freedom and the exchange of Spiritual identity to the Spiritual Son of the Father! Let’s talk about it…

The Revelation in the New Covenant vs in a Greater Covenant

2021 August 22th Streaming

I trust all is well with each of you and your families. Brother David asked me to pray about sharing some of what the Father is revealing and teaching me about my Spiritual identity in Sonship. There’s been so much He has been saying to me concerning our Spiritual identity! I would like to start the message this week with a new revelation concerning the covenants of God. The Father has revealed something about His covenant that never saw before. Please pray for me as I try to communicate what Father is revealing to me as His Son!

Conversation #1
Mommy, Daddy, “where do babies come from?” (parent) “Oh they come from God” (child) “but how does God put the baby in your tummy?” (parent) nervously replies “Umm, well, I’ll tell you later, when you’re older, okay?”

Conversation #2
(Person #1), “how do you become a part of Gods Family?” (person #2) “Repent of your sins and accept Jesus into your heart”….(person #2) “well how do I accept Jesus into my heart?” (person #1) “just say these words , blah, blah, blah, then He comes into your heart and now you’re in Gods family” ….WELCOME TO THE FAMILY! (person #2) Puzzled look on their face with head cocked to the side.
Both conversations sound all too familiar. But just because one has experienced the end result of one or both processes, does not mean one can communicate the process and the end result with clarity in such a way that does not confuse the listener.
This was and is my prayer to the Father, that we hear His words with clarity.
