I was tempted to title today’s message ‘Fun through Physics’, or spiritual birth for engineers, but today, as in college, I find no enjoyment in physics. College electrical physics was by far the most challenging of all my college courses. That being said, I couldn’t help but see the circuitry of mankind when reading 2 Cor. 5:6-7. Let’s look at how they relate to spiritual birth and sonship this Sunday.

Spiritually born-again believers today believe that they are adopted by God and grafted into the Jewish traditions and promises. Could there be a better ending to the story of adoption than adopted sons being grafted into the family of God, Israel? The answer to that question is yes, there is. It is impossible to finalize the series on The Great Lie – Adopted by God without addressing Romans 11:17 – And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
I have asked the Senior Pastor of In Christ Ministries International David Kenebrew, Th.D. to sit with me today. The gospel is the death, resurrection and spiritual seed of Jesus Christ. It is through that spiritual and eternal seed that we become the Sons of God, and yet Paul tells us that gospel was preached to Abraham 2100 years before the birth of Christ. That is the same mystery taught by Paul to the Gentiles. This week we will finish the two-week study of Genesis 22. We will see God’s purpose, intent, and plan (PIP) which He purposed in Himself for us as the Sons He would birth us to be spiritually! If all that we see in Genesis 22 is the crucifixion of Christ, then we have missed the purpose of it all. Genesis 22 ends with the promise of the seed; and within that seed, the promise of spiritual Sons.
Galatians 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.”
