2017 Jun 6th Streaming

Let’s talk fellowship. Our subject is confusing and scary to so many of us.  Remember, if we don’t start where Paul started with the revelation of Christ first with any verse, we cannot understand what the Spirit is saying.  We might understand the words we’re reading but not know what He means without the revelation of Christ at work in us.  I was thinking and talking to the Father recently about very few people including believers and non-believers alike really don’t want to hear or know the person of Christ.  Some will settle for hearing about Jesus of Nazareth but the person of Christ is somewhat foreign.  And becoming a new creation race believer and Son can be tolerated but literally receiving and believing you are another person by Christ in you, is hard to wrap the carnal mind around (it’s impossible much less logical).  So, what does all that have to do the judgement of Christ? This Sunday in fellowship we are going to take a look at the “challenge” of weather we’ve living the Christ-Life or the Box-Life?  Let me say up front this message is “Not” for everybody.  If you decide to join us you might or could be offended with what will be said.  Your identity will be “challenged”. Your knowledge of who you in Christ, will be questioned.  The thoughts, beliefs, and ideas many of us have hung on to for years have desensitized us to the person of Christ. You know those things you over the years. You know those special miracles that God blessed you with at just the right time.  Those special times in Church that you felt the Spirit move.  The praise & worship that let you know Jesus is real to you.  All those things in your past and present that confirm to you what I believe is the truth!   Maybe for some it’s the sermon, or the choir and for others it’s speaking in tongues, or the raising of hands or the praise & worship team. Maybe for some it’s their denomination and it’s the doctrine (teaching) from the whole of the Bible idea.  This list could go on and on and on! So, what is living the Christ-Life? More importantly what is living the Box-Life?  They both have power and strength to give us an identity.  Lastly, just think about this for a second. How many live the Box-Life and call it the Christ-Life?

2017 May 14th Streaming

Our heavenly Father created women to be mothers.  It’s a labor of love, and probably the most joyous and rewarding part of our earthly life. Those of us who know Christ as our only life, long to share Him with our children, knowing the strength of being a Son will give them all they need in this world and the world to come.  While that is a great desire, we have come to see our children run off in their fleshly pulls only to make similar mistakes we did.  You would think, surely being a Son birthed by God would have kept them making these decisions, would you not?  Shouldn’t Christ as our only life have an effect on our children’s decisions?  As a mother or father, don’t we have a responsibility to guide, lead and protect our children from potential poor decisions? Are we really responsible before the Father for their decisions?

Mother’s Day is a great time to review our true impact and responsibility for our children’s decision to walk in the spirit or walk in the flesh. Do they even know there is a difference?

2017 May 7th Streaming

As we said in last week’s message, far too many in the body of Christ have co-mingled Israel and the Church. We’ve stolen their clothes and shoes and are walking around as though they belong to us. They don’t fit! They will never fit! These clothes are for an earthly people with an earthly fit in mind! They only fit one group of if humanity, Israel. But the tailor shop which made and sold that line of clothing went out of business at the cross. At the resurrection of Jesus Christ a new tailor shop was opened with the purpose and ability to provide a whole new type and line of clothing. These new clothes are to fit all of humanity and not just one people group. So, no one has to steal and wear old clothes, which don’t fit, out of style and done away with by the tailor! This brings us to message for this Sunday’s Fellowship! Today we’re going to look at desensitization to the person of Christ, the Gospel of Matthew and the words of Jesus. We are trusting our Father to open the eyes, ears, and hearts of many who are still, stealing, wearing, and covering themselves with these old clothing will stop. Maybe some who truly believe with all all their hearts and mind these garments will be acceptable will see they really need to “cast out” the old and put on the new! Clean-out the closet and be free to live in the light of the new. We will start by reviewing who these beautiful old garments belong to and who came to tell them the old tailor shop was closing soon! This week in Sunday Fellowship we will conclude our discussion about the resurrection of the saints. We covered the Old Testament view of the resurrection. As we discussed last fellowship The Sadducees didn’t believe in the resurrection because they didn’t see anything specific in the Torah to support the belief in resurrection. The Pharisees believed in resurrection because they saw five passages in the Torah which they believed supported this idea. We reviewed how those Jews who believed in the resurrection saw it as nationalistic rather than individualistic. And this resurrection of the dead would occur in the messianic age of the Olam Ha-Ba, the last days! How is this resurrection different from the new creation believer? (the name new creation should be self explanatory). There still seems to be quite a bit of confusion surrounding this topic because far too many co-mingle Israel and the Body of Christ, the Church. I am not surprised that our theology concerning this subject and almost all of our doctrine in the Church is derived from the Old Testament and God dealing with His people Israel. Sadly, far too many in the body of Christ are desensitized to the person of Christ. So, we steal! Many do it ignorantly, While others do it knowingly. Whether ignorantly or knowingly, it belongs to another people. These words are specific and directed not to everyone who come to read and learn them. This would also encompass our understanding of the resurrection of the dead! Let’s talk about it!

The vast majority of our confusion and ignorance comes from the desensitization to the person of Christ which would include:
denying or excluding the mystery which is in Christ,
denying or excluding the need for revelation by the Holy Spirit,
the illusion our ability to read means we can “understand” the information being read,
the need to tie the whole Bible together so that it makes sense to the carnal mind or the mind of the flesh,
not acknowledging or understanding the tripartite man,
the meaning of Spiritual birth or regeneration and it’s effect on the tripartite man,
the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation
the renewing of the mind.

Once again review just how many of those things listed above are critical for us to live Christ as our only life? Only one resurrection can create a new creation and another person spiritually.  All other resurrections cannot make anyone “New” or “Spiritually one” with God.  Yet they are important to God and His plan. But He has declared by the cross that the resurrection of Jesus Christ has the power to do something that no other resurrection can!   Let’s talk about Resurrection!

Don’t you think so?  This week in Sunday Fellowship we will talk about the resurrection of the saints. I know it’s Easter but for the past few months or weeks I’ve been in discussions concerning the Old Testament saints and their salvation and resurrection.  How is it different from the new creation believer? (the name new creation should be self explanatory).  There still seems to be quite a bit of confusion surrounding this topic because far too many co-mingle Israel and the Body of Christ, the Church.

2017 Apr 9th Streaming

This Sunday is called “Palm Sunday.” Many of us were introduced to this precious time while learning the Easter story.  It’s the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem just days before the Jewish Passover. And, as he entered the city the people came to meet him saying, Hosanna: blessed is the King of Israel…
“Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed [is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord”. Jhn 12:13
The people of Israel were rejoicing and proclaiming God’s promise to them of a King. They cheered their Passover Lamb.Their promised Messiah (They didn’t know that yet)!  But at the same time while all this was happening a door was closing and another door is opening. Sadly, very few if any knew or saw what was really happening!   They were just days from the end of the “old” and the beginning of the “new”.  Their special membership to the “club” with all it’s unique benefits and exclusive private access were about to expire. Their “club” cards, access and contract were being revoked without renewal. And today many along with them are still claiming membership and access with the “old” invalid “club” cards and contract! Palm Sunday is the beginning of “access denied” for the “old” and “access granted” with the “new”! Let’s talk about it!

2017 Apr 2nd Streaming

We are seeing a large number of believers and non-believers seeking and struggling to have victory in their lives! I’m somewhat amazed at what these people do to achieve what they perceive as victory. Let me name a few: speaking or making positive confessions; surrounding yourself with “positive people” (those who tell you what you want to hear) because anyone else brings negative vibes and hinder your victory; the power of positive thinking; positive things come from God and negative things come from the devil; and lastly our victory comes from standing on the promises of God. Again, these are only a few of the things many think feel and believe which are key factors in the pursue in their idea of victory. Let me say this as for move further into what the Spirit is saying on this subject. Almost all our thoughts and ideas of achieving victory is fear based and subjective. The victorious life so many seek to live is a fear based illusion and only leads to deception, captivity and delusional thinking! It’s outer and ultimately unfulfilling, unsatisfying and incomplete. So, what is victory? Where do we start? And by what mean do we take hold of it? Let’s talk about it…
