Greetings Everyone!<\/p>\n
I trust your week and weekend has been going well. \u00a0We have been somewhat busy this week. Katherine has been studying and reviewing for her medical board exams. \u00a0She took them this past Thursday. \u00a0She should know within the next couple of months. \u00a0I sense she did well! \u00a0Things around here are a little less tense now the board exams are over. \u00a0This week we will be looking at man and his three part creation by God.<\/p>\n
The way God created man was critically unique in His purpose, intent and plan for the destiny of man. \u00a0In His creation God gave man an ability which no other creature processed.\u00a0 Who and what humankind is to ultimately become rest in our unique creation.\u00a0 \u00a0Our New Testament view of man is rooted and grounded in the knowledge and understanding given to the Apostle Paul. \u00a0Paul uses roughly 18 terms to describe or behold man<\/strong>. These terms are not written in any other parts of the Bible as they are in his epistles. These terms are;<\/p>\nOld Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0New Man \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spiritual Man\u00a0 Natural Man\u00a0 Carnal Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0One Man \u00a0Dead Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Outer Man\u00a0 \u00a0Inner Man \u00a0\u00a0Tripartite Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0First Man \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Second Man\u00a0Perfect Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Corruptible Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Righteous Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Good Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Inward Man\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wretched Man.\u00a0\u00a0Within the list of terms Paul clearly reveals our unique composition of man\u2019s creation by God. \u00a0One term he clearly describes us as having three parts.<\/p>\n
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole <\/em>spirit <\/strong><\/i>and <\/em>soul <\/strong><\/i>and <\/em>body <\/strong><\/i>be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”.<\/em> 1Th 5:23<\/p>\nThis is the first time in the Bible that someone has specifically identified man as having three parts as his complete or whole makeup.\u00a0 There other parts of the Bible which speak of these parts separately.\u00a0\u00a0 But only here Paul tells us that this is our \u201cwhole\u201d composition.\u00a0 Paul \u201cBehold the man<\/strong>\u201d as having three parts; spirit; soul and body.\u00a0 A term called \u201cThe Tripartite Man.\u201d\u00a0 So, where did Paul get this idea of man having three parts?\u00a0 Why just three parts? \u00a0Why not two or four? \u00a0Let\u2019s start from beginning to see where and how Paul could declare this truth. \u00a0Let’s talk about it in fellowship!<\/p>\nLove in Christ,<\/p>\n
