Every week, congregations will meet wearing suits labeled \u2018new\u2019, \u2018reformed\u2019, \u2018apostolic\u2019, \u2018evangelical\u2019, \u2018united\u2019, \u2018international\u2019 and \u2018universal\u2019. They will sit in pews labeled &#8216;election&#8217;, &#8216;grace&#8217;, &#8216;free will&#8217;, &#8216;assurance&#8217;, &#8216;second blessing&#8217;, &#8216;inerrant&#8217;, &#8216;full submersion&#8217; and &#8216;justification&#8217;. As I peer through the windows, I ask myself, why and how did the greatest revelations of God become religion, and what can we learn from what we see? I will teach Sunday from Luke 9:28-36. You may be very surprised what Peter\u2019s encounter on the Mount of Transfiguration reveals about identity and revelation.
