The death of our identity in 2019 is exchanged for a new 2020 identity!<br \/>\nPaul tells us in Romans 6:4 \u201cthat we were therefore buried with him through baptism into death\u201d, and in Romans 6:8 \u201cNow if we died\u201d. Without question, the work of the cross is final and finished.<\/p>\n<p>So why am I haunted by the King James Version of Paul\u2019s words to the Galatians in 2:20: \u201cI am crucified with Christ\u201d. Everything about Galatians 2:20 in the KJV translation states an ongoing reality and realization of death, yet in many other translations it is worded \u201cI have been\u201d. I have questioned those two verb tense translations in Galatians 2:20 for years \u2013 so which one is correct? The answer is \u2026.. Both.<\/p>\n<p>The reality of the cross is an ongoing revelation that is essential to the renewing of our minds. The revelation of the cross and what it has done to us is essential in understanding our new creation spiritual identity. I am starting a three-part series this Sunday that will continue in late January titled The Death of Identity. It will push the boundaries of what we have been taught our whole lives.
