“But I keep under my body, and bring into subjection…” with David Kenebrew & Kurtis Luckinbill

2017 Mar 26th Streaming

As the words from an old Simon and Garfunkel song says “slip sliding away, slip sliding away, you know the nearer your destination, the more you’re slip sliding away”.  The days are coming and going so quickly, it appears many of us don’t have time to get it all done.  And some of the ones that do appear to get it all done seem run down, beat-up and drained physically, emotionally and spiritually (Body, Soul and Spirit). Our tripartite man seems to be “slip sliding away” especially the body and soul parts. How often do you hear or even use the words “behind the power curve”?  I used it twice this past week. Is there something many are missing when it comes to body and soul living?  The body we live in has down motivation built into every fiber since the day man was created.  And you cannot fix that with a “positive mind set”.  In fact the pull of the body’s down motivation is so strong that the mind is subject to the same motivational destiny.  With that said, it seems far too many are on the fast track daily to being run down, beat-up and drained physically and emotionally! What can we do? What can the Father do? Where do we start to get a handle on keeping under the body and stopping the sliding away?  Is this something we work for or just let it happen or trust our Father to work it out over time?  Do the Apostle Paul know something about keeping his body that many may not have seen?  Let’s talk about it!

The Reprobate Mind with David Kenebrew & Kurtis Luckinbill

2017 Mar 19th Streaming

Sunday morning we will address a subject rarely discussed or talked about,  “The Reprobate Mind.”
What is a reprobate? What is the mind that has brought about this identity?  Can a believer have a reprobate mind?  This is a unique subject that far too many fail to discuss. And those who do, unfortunately, do not address it from the revelation of the mystery which is in Christ! So, let’s talk about it!

Our Intimate love affair with Fear

2017 Mar 12th Streaming

First, I want to thank each of you who responded to the email sent out this week concerning the message for fellowship. We were blessed and encouraged with all of your replies and will be doing both messages. The question was which one would we do in this Sunday’s fellowship?   I’ve been working on two message thoughts.  One is entitled, “The Reprobate Mind”  and the other is “Our intimate love affair with Fear”.  At the time of this email tonight, 77% said they would like to hear “Our intimate love affair with Fear”.  There were some interesting comments on why this message will be discussed first.  I trust the Father to follow this message with “The Reprobate Mind” next week. Both messages carry a strong and powerful Word concerning who we are In Christ as Sons of God the Father!  So many today advocate having an intimate love affair with the Lord, or with Jesus, or with God or with Christ.  Have you taken a close look at the landscape lately?  It’s littered with multitudes of different institutional doctrines, denominational beliefs, non-denominational beliefs systems, and organizational theologies. Some of these things are just really unbelievable, all using the Bible and declaring they love God and His Word! Oh, and they are right and everyone else is wrong.  There might be some truth in those words.  You see, because of the “desensitization to the person of Christ” and not Jesus of Nazareth, the gospel many preach, teach and proclaim cannot and will never produce an intimate love affair with the Lord, or with Jesus, or with God or with Christ. I know that’s a pretty strong statement.  But there is an intimate love affair. And that love affair is with Fear.  What is “an intimate love affair” anyway?  And who gets to decide when it becomes intimate? So, let’s talk about it….

What is “Renewing of the mind”? Part 2

2017 Mar 5th Streaming

https://youtu.be/jfcQWqTGJDQ

Greetings Beloved!
This week we will  continue on the topic of “What is Renewing of the mind?” , and take a closer look at the process-three sources or types of renewing the mind.   In what “mind” is all of this taking place?  Renewing of the mind happens everyday!  Desensitization to the person of Christ makes this process confusing and misleading.  Again, this is a subject not many talk or preach about in churches today.  Some of us have read these words while reading the Bible. Yet, these words are as misunderstood in the church as the words “revelation of Christ”.  Exactly what is the”renewing of the mind” and is it different than receiving a “revelation of Christ”?  Can everyone get a “‘renewed mind”?  What does it mean to have your “mind renewed”?  Is there a specific process to the “renewing of the mind”? Lastly, how will someone know or not know if their mind is renewed or being renewed?  Let’s talk about it!

Love in Christ,

David & Katherine
