Sonship Spiritual Process – Philippians Ch. 4 – with Dwight Davis, Th.M.

2023 August 27th Streaming

Many times we just take the written word of God and pull out proof texts to us as we see fit. Many times soon after we are Spirit-birthed as the Spiritual Sons, our Father loves to honor His written word and does special things for us. Some time later on we might find that we are trusting more in ourselves in our original identity using the proof texts rather than in true obedience to our Father in our Spiritual Son identity. Sometimes the Father has to move us into Divine correction to get us to directly trust and obey Him, rather than us simply using our knowledge to operate in our original son identity without Him.

Paul in Philippians chapter 4 provides us with a seven (7) priority process steps of growth and learning in his spontaneous life and walk with the Father. This should be a wonderful example for us to live and to walk spontaneously in our Spiritual Son identity in obedience to the Father.

Let’s look at Philippians chapter 4 especially with all seven (7) priority processes for spontaneous living and walking in our Spiritual Son identity.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I might gain Christ. Philippians 3:2

In humankind there is a curiosity and insatiable desire to always hear something new! To gain some new knowledge. But not all knowledge yields positive results.

There is knowledge that brings freedom and life. But there is also knowledge that can bring death and destruction; a gateway for dogs and mutilators of the flesh to come in.

Whether Paul moved in the power of the resurrection of Christ, or was stretched to his last ounce of endurance, it mattered little. For Paul, it was all part of the most fulfilling journey of all: to truly know Christ and the power of His resurrection.

My prayer is that we see all our past accomplishments and failures as loss in the process of Spiritual Sonship.

In the past 2 weeks our dear brothers and Teaching Pastors, Dwight Davis and Kurtis LuckinbillI, shared very powerful messages on Philippians chapter 3.  Each of these Sons presented their knowledge and understanding of the mystery revealed in Spiritual Identity, provided by the Father.  Our Father continues to provide valuable insights into Paul’s revelation in the mystery of Spiritual Identity to the church in Philippi.  This chapter in Philippians is rich in Spiritual Identity for both the believers in Paul’s day and much more for us today! This week we continue chapter 3 with an ongoing dive into the mystery of Spiritual Birth and its Identity of Sonship!

As we begin this message, each of you must make a decision about the thoughts and ideas you have been taught over the years concerning this chapter.  The Spiritual decision between willing to learn a potentially unsettling, or life-exchanging, truth in the mystery of Spiritual Identity and Sonship. Or a decision to remain content in ignorance of the broken glass of original identity, staying plugged into your current fears of MMR!

Today as in every day, the decision to be cut and bleeding from the broken glass identity or identities of your past or learn to count it lost! The decision is yours and yours alone! Let’s talk about it…

Throughout life, every person has built both a personal and professional resume. Over time we realize our strengths and skills and we learn to build upon them. Why, because our strengths lead to our success in this world. To some, being a victim is their strength; to others, their advantage may lie in the color of their skin. Many have built their success by using their family name and their pedigree. What would a resume be if it weren’t a list of our accomplishments and qualifications? But, what if our resumes were our greatest enemy? I trust you will join me to hear the answer to these questions found in Philippians Chapter 3.
