Greetings Everyone,

Our message this in fellowship is “salvation:what is it?” That word is used by both believers and non-believers alike. Can it mean the same thing to both? How about this. Does it mean the same thing to the Baptist and the Catholic? The Mormon and the Jehovah Witness? The Buddhist and the Atheist? Is there such a thing as Biblical salvation or religious salvation? And let’s not forget salvation by grace and salvation by works. The world uses a word that seems to mean different things to different people. It sounds like salvation is pretty subjective! Oh, and everyone’s definition of salvation seems to right in his own eyes!

Pro 21:2 “Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.”

Exactly what I was thinking too! Is there a salvation that is objective and not subjective? Is there a salvation or salvation which provides a meaning and definition which fits humanity? A meaning which does not fit angles or dogs or cats or birds or our favorite pets. Most human ideas and definitions of salvation include anything and everything we hold dear and precious to us. So, let’s talk about it!
