Desensitization: The “Emotional Baggage” of identity and the “Me” dilemma?

We will look at the impact of desensitization to the person of Christ and the “emotional baggage” of our old identity. This particular “carry-on” causes a “me” dilemma – probably the greatest obstacle for many desiring to learn who they are in Christ as Sons. Desensitization and sensitization are both at work in the new creation Son.
The Apostle Paul says this:
Gal 5:16-17 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
The process of Sonship is where we find our true spiritual identity and oneness with our Father! No one can teach us this but Him! The fear and bondage of our emotional baggage traps too many in a two person gospel, keeping them double minded or union minded. This struggle of living our new spiritual identity as the Son of God can be overwhelming, frustrating and disappointing! What are we missing? How do we get a handle on this Sonship thing?
