As we discussed in last weeks fellowship:

Let’s take a close look at how the Son of God became the Son of man with a body of flesh and blood. But it was only for a season! These are just a few of the verses in which God, the Holy Spirit will show us why Jesus was given a unique body of sin but never had a sinning body!

The Prophesy

Who we are was decided before the foundation of the world. The bodies we would live in now and when we get to the Father’s house were also a part of that decision. We didn’t get to have a decision with our first body, but we do have a say in the next one! This is a God idea and extends back before the world was. It all has to do with a seed. Whose seed? Who comes forth? A simple DNA test can provide an answer to the question. If DNA testing were available in Jesus’ day, what would it have revealed about Him? What would just one drop of His blood would unfolded about His true blood line? Let’s do a DNA test on Jesus and see just what body He lived in for those 33 years. The blood line comes from the seed, the source of our DNA. What exactly does that mean?

– Biology tells us that every human being has 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 total. This is our biological, physiological, and psychological make up-our complete genetic profile or DNA. This defines our flesh & blood identity. The road map of who we are in the flesh!

– These 23 allow us to function and live out who we are as humans.

– There is one part of our cellular make up not in pairs; the male seed/sperm and female seed/ovum. This allows us to give or share our genetic history and identity.

– Each seed or ovum contains 23 chromosomes half of what is needed for human life.

– When they join in union we have 46 chromosomes or 23 pairs, new human life.

– This process of conception was preordained for us to be fruitful and multiply.

– God used this same process Himself.

The Promise “Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house. And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee:” 1Chron1:10-13

So, what does all this have to do with us? Let’s press toward the mark!

Love in Christ!
