So, what makes desensitization so effective?
His weapon of choice. Who’s weapon? The weapon of the great dragon, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan formerly known as Lucifer. What then is his weapon? His weapon of choice is “fear”. It is what he used from the beginning. It is the spiritual carbon monoxide poison for the human soul/mind! It is by the spirit of fear that the process of desensitization to the person of Christ is so effective. If we could see, know and understand just how deep he hates all humans no matter how old or how young. No matter how good or how bad. No matter religious or have what they consider “no religion” at all. We are all hated and despised because of who we are called to become. The call came in the “Gap” before world begin; before the foundation of the world! It cannot be undone. The holy called fixed us to become children of God, heirs of God joint-heirs with Christ. A new position and identity which is not flesh and blood (For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren Rom 8:29). He was the first to say to God we are unworthy to set down at the right hand of the throne of God. No other creature has been called to sit in such a glorious position. Except humans! There are many verses which bear this God idea. Here are just a few of them for now.

This fellowship broadcast today is a time to answer some of the questions which have been asked concerning the In-Christ position.  These questions include many of the beliefs, doctrines, religious understanding and interests some have  held as truth and gospel for many years.  Our intent in this broadcast is not to argue or provide who is right or wrong.  We are sharing the wisdom, knowledge and understanding which God the Holy Spirit has revealed concerning the revelation of the mystery in the person of Christ! The desensitization to the person of Christ has provided most of our theology and beliefs through religion for many years.
These are just a few of the questions we have received.
– How can someone join the church?
-Does scripture really tell us that Jesus was our substitute?
-What is God’s calling for humankind – whole idea behind calling?
-Since we’re not Israel, do we need to be Holy?

What is Easter? Where did it come from? What is its purpose?

Full Definition of EASTER
: a feast that commemorates Christ’s resurrection and is observed with variations of date due to different calendars on the first Sunday after the paschal full moon.

Let’s take a look at a little history.

In the early Church
The Last Supper celebrated by Jesus and his disciples was a Passover Seder. The early Christians too would have celebrated this meal to commemorate Jesus’ death and subsequent resurrection.

The first Christians, Jewish and Gentile, were certainly aware of the Hebrew calendar. Jewish Christians, the first to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, timed the observance in relation to Passover.
Direct evidence for a more fully formed Christian festival of Pascha (Easter) begins to appear in the mid-2nd century. Perhaps the earliest extant primary source referencing Easter is a mid-2nd-century Paschal homily (A homily is a commentary that follows a reading of scripture) attributed to Melito of Sardis, which characterizes the celebration as a well-established one. Evidence for another kind of annual Christian festival, the commemoration of martyrs, begins to appear at about the same time as evidence for the celebration of Easter.

This is not a full historical account of Easter but it can shed a little light on where the name came from and its intended meaning. We should be able to see the intent of the believers in that day to celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection. It was their evidence of their faith in Christ and the atonement for their sins. So, it makes sense to establish a feast/festival or greeting which acknowledge and confirms this wonderful truth.

As we know the word Easter is not use Biblically. So, what was God’s purpose, intent and plan with the cross and His Son?
